Sistema Plastics manufactures in New Zealand and exports around the world. Major countries around the world have local sales teams who market new products to resellers. The business had product images saved in local network folders, and product information was saved in spreadsheets and a variety of systems. Global sales teams were working with inconsistent product information, and the creation of new product submission forms to resellers was time consuming and was prone to errors.
Our solution
We proposed the creation of a single product database that would become the source of truth for sales and marketing content. We combined product technical data from their ERP system by creating a data integration between Atlas and Epicor. We enriched this data by adding all their master product images and customer-facing marketing information.
Once established we developed a set of standardised product submission templates. The templates allowed sales teams anywhere in the world to quickly generate forms for their resellers. By using data from an accurate and centralised source the team reduced errors and administration time. The new product library is now accessed 24/7 anywhere in the world and is a go-to reference for the sales team.
